About the Climate Week
During the week of September 20th, New York City became a hotbed of activity on climate change, with the confluence of the UN Climate Summit convened by Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Climate Week NYC and the People’s Climate March.
Notably, these events marked an unprecedented level of engagement by the health sector from the grassroots on upwards, galvanized by the growing body of evidence on the linkages between climate change and human health.
HCWH and its partners participated in the following activities:
September 21: People’s Climate March - Public Health Hub
September 22: A Civil Society Event on Action in Climate Change and Health
September 22: Sustaining Health: Linking Environment, Nutrition and Health
September 23: UN Climate Summit
