Health Care Without Harm is pleased to announce that Chandan Khanna has joined its global climate team as India Projects Manager. Chandan will oversee Health Care Without Harm’s growing portfolio of work in India and will facilitate the effective implementation of Health Care Without Harm's India programs on air pollution, climate change, and sustainable procurement.
Based in Bhopal, India, Chandan has more than 12 years of experience working with leading organizations in South Asia. He is skilled in project management, campaign strategies, policy research, capacity building and stakeholder engagement. With a professional background in environment and climate change, he holds a Master’s in Forest Management from the Indian Institute of Forest Management Bhopal.
“Attitude towards public health has changed drastically in the last two years. Even in the climate sector, the narrative has shifted from saving polar bears to saving humans. I am glad to be working with the amazing Health Care Without Harm Team, playing my small role in the health sector and ensuring that the health sector has a strong voice in the climate justice movement”, Chandan says.
