As the global climate talks approach, health and medical professionals around the world are mobilizing to advocate for policies that will limit the impacts of climate change on health.
The recent Lancet Commission on Health and Climate highlighted that “tackling climate change could be the greatest global health opportunity of the 21st century”. A global campaign Our Climate Our Health aims to spread that messages to health professional and policymakers everywhere.
This seminar will bring together health and environment advocates to hear about examples of leadership for action on climate change, what to expect from the Paris talks, and feature an innovative thought experiment on “Imagining 2030 as a healthy, low carbon world”.
A final session will outline a pathway to developing a collaborative national strategy on climate change and health in Australia.
The event is organized by HCWH Strategic Partner in Australia, the Climate and Health Alliance.
When: 19th November.
Where: 60 Leicester St, Carlton, Melbourne, Australia.
