Race to Zero is a global campaign initiated by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to rally leadership and support from non-state actors for a zero-carbon recovery. The initiative aims to prevent future threats, foster job creation, and unlock inclusive, sustainable growth. It mobilizes a coalition of leading net-zero initiatives across cities, regions, businesses, investors, and universities to take rigorous and immediate action to halve global emissions by 2030 and deliver a healthier, fairer zero-carbon world.
Health Care Without Harm is proud to serve as the Race to Zero health care partner.
All members share the overarching goal of swiftly and equitably reducing emissions across all scopes in alignment with the Paris Agreement, involving transparent action plans and robust near-term targets. As part of our commitment, Health Care Without Harm invites health care institutions to join the initiative through our Health Care Climate Challenge.
To date, over 70 health care institutions representing the interests of more than 14,000 hospitals and health centers in 26 countries have partnered with Health Care Without Harm to join Race to Zero.
Together, we're building a robust coalition of organizations committed to zero emissions and creating a more inclusive and resilient economy.
