Dr. Lujain Alqodmani joins Health Care Without Harm as Health Professionals Networks Lead

Former President of the World Medical Association, Alqodmani will coordinate the development and execution of initiatives for health professional networks and organizations.

Health Care Without Harm is pleased to announce that Lujain Alqodmani, global health and medical professional, has joined its Global team as Health Professionals Networks Lead. In this role, she will coordinate actions and strategies for Health Care Without Harm’s Health professional networks, and work with different teams to develop resources and build partnerships needed to mobilize health professionals and advocate for a just and equitable transition to clean renewable energy.

Alongside her role as President of the World Medical Association (WMA) for the term 2023-2024, Lujain served as the Chief Action Officer at EAT, science-based platform for food system transformation. Previously, she worked in different health sectors. Her experiences range from serving as an emergency physician in Kuwait to holding vital roles such as the co-chair of the WMA Environment Caucus and the International Relations Director at Kuwait Medical Association. She holds a medical degree from Kuwait University and a Master's in International healthcare management, economics, and policy from SDA Bocconi, Italy.
